Our roots are on the Northern Beaches, and our office is in Brookvale. More than three decades of moving experience shape the way we look after your furniture and plan your relocation.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. These guys are the best!! They moved a house we had been in for 30+ years to a place with steep driveway and stairs with heaps of boxes and very large pieces of furniture. All done with smiles and complete care.
We also had a couple of smaller moves and will require another small move of a lounge soon.
They are members of the furniture removalists association which was important to us.
They were great with their communication.
Their location is easy to access  and plenty of parking.
You can get your boxes, tape, bubble wrap etc there and you will be greeted warmly no matter how often you go there plus you may get to meet the lovely 4 legged mascot Joey 😍.
Oh and you get $ back on returned boxes, provided they were bought new. This doesn't apply to boxes bought 2nd hand and fair enough.
These guys don't pressure you, as others did. They also don't ask for reviews, I had to ask them which is something I like.
I can see why they have been around for so long.
The guys who did our actual move were amazing. The planning was great, their communication with me and between each other was 100%. They were fit and strong, my god they were fit.  They had little laughs with each other which put me at ease cause it showed they were a team and knew what they were doing, all 4 of them.

I really really recommend Man and his van for your removals and thanks to you all for making this stressful time so much less so.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Dan and his team really care. I had to ring around to find an emergency removalist on a Friday afternoon late. Everyone rejected me. Everyone. I tried 30 x removalists.
Dan didn’t. He was the only one. He took the time to listen to me, to provide removalist options, but more so he would work Saturday from 7.30am to align with my deadline.
The quality of their communications, good humour and attention to detail when moving and wrapping items was exemplary.
Not only did they provide a large ish truck for my move, they had a back up additional truck parked in the street. As time grew tight, Dan himself and Zac added themselves to the team for a dedicated window of time to make sure that delivery was achieved. Nothing was too hard. They were first class. Prices were described in detail up front. Always in my control.
You might go a long way to find a more dedicated team who genuinely focuses on delivery for the customer, as opposed to other movers who think their business is scheduling trucks.

A top-class service in taking away our furniture as we ventured north to Brisbane, taking care of it for almost two years while we eventually found a house to buy and now helping ship it to us. I would just like to say a belated thank you to Scott and Dan who moved us. We were both incredibly impressed with their hard work, punctuality and customer service.

Our new apartment is on the 4th floor with no lift and no parking yet the boys worked tirelessly throughout and undertook the mammoth task with good humour and even when a second removal company arrived to move the flat downstairs.

I just wanted to express my thanks to Mark and Rob from the Brookvale depot for the move they did for us on Fri 27th August. The boys were very polite and professional, careful with our things and persistent when things were difficult to move.

We had a dining table that wouldn’t fit in the door and they went above and beyond to try to get it into the house.

It is often said that moving house is one of the most stressful experiences we go through in life. Strangely enough, it was almost a magical experience. Even though the rain steadily increased, Ian and Nick turned up nice and early with bright and cheerful attitudes and set about carefully loading up the truck with all my possessions.

Never once did they complain, instead saying “you can only get wet once” and “this reminds me of home”. They were a joy to work with, professional, polite, diligent, inspirational and very nice people. Despite the weather and the drenching the boys received, all the boxes and furniture seemed barely touched by the rain and nothing was broken during the move.

I was also very impressed at how the boys very cleverly manoeuvred some heavy and difficult pieces of furniture through narrow stairwells, turning and twisting. I am very grateful to Man and His Van and to Ian and Nick for helping me through a challenging day and turning it into a magical experience. Attitude and a good heart are everything.

Well once again the boys from Man and His Van, did an outstanding job.

This time Rhyss, Luke and I were blessed with clear blue skies and sunshine until the move was complete and then it rained. Unlike last time when Ian and Nick cheerfully worked through torrential rain all day, soaked to the skin and yet somehow my furniture remained dry! Magic.

The Removalist business is one of those things that quietly goes on in the background, something we don’t think about until it’s time to move home or office and then it becomes the most important factor in life for that time frame. I just wanted to pass on our sincere praise and gratitude to the 4 removalists that moved us last Tuesday. Matt, Mark, Matt and Paul were truly fantastic – professional, efficient, polite and particularly careful.

But most of all without exception they all had such great, helpful attitudes and made our move by far the easiest ever! As keen renovators, we seem to move frequently and we have never before experienced such a stress-free and successful move. The way that they were able to carefully stack so much of our furniture into our storage unit was truly amazing!

It was also quite difficult to move the other items which came to Bilgola with us, as the access here was shocking, but the guys remained cheerful right to the last item! We have used several other local companies in the past and have experienced rudeness and bad attitudes, dirt and sweaty marks on furniture and careless stacking of belongings which has nearly always caused damage to our belongings. We will definitely be calling you every time we move in future and we have already started recommending you to others.

How travel is charged

Billing is base-to-base, including travel to your collection address and back from your delivery address. The operating base assigned to your move is not necessarily Brookvale.

The travel component is capped. Ask our office to confirm the applicable cap and travel allowance for your booking.

Additional help and insurance

Extra removalists, packing, unpacking and furniture assembly can be discussed when arranging your quote. Additional services may change the total cost.

Statutory insurances are included in the rates above. Insurance for your belongings can be arranged separately, with premiums depending on the cover required and distance travelled.

Which areas do you service?

We move homes and businesses across metropolitan Sydney, including the Northern Beaches, North Shore, Eastern Suburbs and Inner West. We also arrange interstate removals to and from Sydney.

What information do you need for a quote?

Tell us your addresses, preferred moving date and what you need moved. Include details about stairs, lifts, truck parking, long carrying distances and large or fragile items.

Mention any packing, storage, unpacking or furniture assembly you would like included.

How much does a move cost?

Our standard rate for two removalists and a truck is $240 per hour Monday to Friday, with a two-hour minimum, and $260 per hour on Saturday, with a three-hour minimum. These rates include GST.

Your total depends on the time required, travel and any additional services. Interstate moves and bookings requiring a different team or vehicle should be discussed with our office.

How far ahead should I book?

Contact us as soon as you have a likely moving date, particularly if your building has fixed lift or loading times. Earlier notice gives us more opportunity to arrange your preferred booking.

We also accept last-minute enquiries, subject to team and vehicle availability.

Can you help with packing and unpacking?

Yes. We can arrange packing and unpacking alongside your move. Tell us whether you need help with selected items, fragile belongings or the whole household.

Furniture disassembly and reassembly can also be discussed when making your booking.

Let us know about narrow entrances, steep driveways, stairs, restricted parking or furniture that may not fit through a doorway.

Our team can discuss the equipment and approach required. Balcony lifts are available where access and safety conditions allow, and need to be assessed in advance.

Can you store my furniture between properties?

Yes. We have storage facilities in Brookvale and Dee Why and can discuss storage as part of your move.
