Depending on the size of the property and the difficulty of access, we may recommend additional removalists, a particular vehicle or a staged move completed over more than one day.

Base-to-base travel
Travel is calculated using the operating base assigned to your move. While Man and His Van is based in Brookvale, the assigned base may vary depending on the job.

Additional labour is charged proportionally and confirmed as part of your moving quote.

How much does a removalist cost?
Our standard rate is $240 per hour from Monday to Friday and $260 per hour on Saturday. The rate includes two professional removalists, a suitable truck, moving equipment, applicable statutory insurances and GST.
Weekday bookings have a two-hour minimum. Saturday bookings have a three-hour minimum.
How does base-to-base travel work?
Base-to-base travel is calculated using the operating base assigned to your move. Although our head office is in Brookvale, the assigned base may vary depending on the job.
The travel component is capped and will be explained when your quote is prepared.
Which areas do you service?
We assist customers throughout the Northern Beaches, including Manly, Brookvale, Dee Why, Frenchs Forest, Mona Vale, Newport and surrounding suburbs.
We also complete moves elsewhere in Sydney, along the coast and interstate. Contact our office to confirm availability for your collection and delivery addresses.
Can you manage properties with difficult access?
Yes. We regularly assist with moves involving steep driveways, external stairs, narrow streets, long carrying distances and multi-level homes.
Difficult access may require additional removalists, a smaller vehicle or extra time. For particularly substantial moves, we may recommend loading and delivery over separate days.
Can you help with apartment and unit moves?
Yes. We can plan apartment moves around lift bookings, loading areas, building access rules and permitted moving times.
Please provide any instructions from your strata or building manager when requesting your quote.
Do I need to organise parking for the moving truck?
Please tell us about timed parking, clearways, narrow streets, loading zones and any restrictions affecting access to either property.
Where council permits, strata approval or building bookings are required, these should generally be arranged before moving day.
Do you provide packing and unpacking?
Yes. Packing and unpacking can be arranged for complete homes, selected rooms, fragile items or office contents.
Furniture disassembly, reassembly, moving boxes and packing materials are also available.

Yes. Storage is available through our facilities in Brookvale and Dee Why for short-term and longer-term requirements.
