What does base-to-base mean?
Base-to-base travel is calculated from the operating base assigned to your move, which may be in the Inner West, Eastern Suburbs or Northern Beaches. Applicable travel time is capped and will be explained when your booking is quoted.
Can additional removalists be added?
Yes. Additional manpower can be charged pro rata. For larger moves, a larger team can reduce the total time required to load and unload.
What can increase moving time?
Long carrying distances, stairs, lift delays, restricted parking, oversized furniture and unfinished packing can increase the duration of an hourly move.

How much do Inner West removalists cost?
Man and His Van charges $240 per hour from Monday to Friday and $260 per hour on Saturday. These prices include GST, two professional removalists, a truck and standard removal equipment.
A minimum two-hour booking applies on weekdays and a minimum three-hour booking applies on Saturdays. Charges are calculated base-to-base.
What does base-to-base pricing mean?
Base-to-base means the chargeable time begins when the removalist truck leaves its operating base and ends when it returns to base after completing your move.
Providing accurate addresses, access details and an inventory helps our team explain the likely timing and cost before you confirm your booking.
Which Inner West suburbs do you service?
We service suburbs throughout Sydney’s Inner West, including Balmain, Birchgrove, Rozelle, Five Dock, Drummoyne, Leichhardt, Annandale, Petersham, Marrickville, Newtown, Ashfield, Strathfield and surrounding areas.

Do I need to arrange parking for the removalist truck?

Statutory insurance applies to our removal services. Under the Financial Services Reform Act, strict guidelines determine who may legally provide insurance to customers.
Man and His Van is an authorised representative of Aldridge and Street, which holds Australian Financial Services Licence No. 245658. Insurance premiums vary depending on the level of cover required and the distance travelled.

Do you offer storage if my new property is not ready?
Yes. Storage is available at our Brookvale and Dee Why facilities for customers who need space between properties or require longer-term storage.
Customers moving with Man and His Van can receive one month of free storage. Make sure you mention this special offer when speaking with our office staff so they can explain availability and the applicable arrangements.
How far in advance should I book a removalist?
Booking early gives you the best chance of securing your preferred date and starting time, particularly for Saturdays, month-end periods and popular moving dates.
